Priory Farm and Wedding Presents

So, true to form I am already running behind with this blog and I only started two days ago. Anyway, just imagine that I posted this yesterday if you will.....

So, we visited Priory Farm in the morning. Bought lots of herbs for the window boxes, a couple of hanging baskets for beside the front door and a fuschia because I love them. Even if I'm not sure how fuschia is spelt (and I can't be bothered to check). Oh and a tomato plant and a pepper plant too - I have grand ideas of being a veg gardener but Mr Handy sensibly managed to talk me into starting small and seeing how I get on.

Then we went to the fabulous cafe there for lunch (best Welsh Rarebit i
n the world) and Miss Sharp and Miss Crazy enjoyed the children's play area out the back. Please see photo of said children in said play area on the tractor.

Later on we went to see my brother and his new wife (can't help grinning with pleasure when I write that). They got married two weeks ago and got back from honeymoon today (remember that you are imagining that this is yesterday) and they very kindly (or is that foolishly) invited us round 4 hours after they got off the plane so that Miss Sharp and Miss Crazy could help them open their wedding presents. They are a nice Uncle and Aunt!

General Mood, pretty good thank you

Eaten, far too much. Yet again. I sense a pattern developing. But the Priory Farm cafe is amazing and it would be just wrong not to have cake there as well and I did eat up all the salad.......

Exercise, ummmm does chasing bubbles in the garden with Miss Sharp and Miss Crazy count? Also, tramping round the garden centre. Loads of exercise that is *cough*ahem*

Spent, well loads frankly, and I didn't even get to tell the quite frankly dishy and lovely manager of the Priory Farm garden centre that I had indeed bought lots of his plants despite the fact that I was planning to go up the road for a cheap trowel. Ah well.....

Parenting, good but then it's not too hard when you've got garden centres and tractors and cake and bubbles and nice Aunts and Uncles.

Saturday 6 June 2009

This is Mr Handy, Miss Sharp and Miss Crazy at the bbq we went to today - a house warming for some good friends of ours, who have actually been living there for nearly a year.

Sweet moment of the day, Miss Crazy offering to go to the bathroom with me in case I would be scared on my own.

General mood, not bad but lots of littlies at the party which was hard.

Exercise, cycled to Redhill and back. Ran around at the bbq with the girls for at least 2 minutes.

Eaten, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far too much but it was goooooooooooood :)

Parenting, definitely good enough today I reckon.
